That is the short version of two privacy policies (the web one and a separate one for the iOS app), the terms, the refund policy, the content policy, the community guidelines and the disclaimer, all of which I read in full in September 2026. It is more paperwork than most companion apps publish, and the trouble is not that any single page is bad. The trouble is that they do not agree with each other.

Who runs Eternal AI and where the company actually is

The web terms and the copyright page name EternalAI Labs OÜ, an Estonian private limited company with a registered address on Vesivärava street in Tallinn. The Google Play listing names the developer as Eternal AI Limited at a commercial-building address in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, with a Vietnamese phone number. The claimed Trustpilot profile, created in June 2026 and empty of reviews, lists the company location as United States and files it under “Adult Dating Service”. Disputes on both the web and iOS terms go to the Singapore International Arbitration Centre under Singapore law, after a 60-day informal period, with a class-action waiver and a liability cap of one hundred US dollars. None of that is illegal or unusual for a crypto-adjacent company, and Eternal AI is one: the same domain hosts a whitepaper, a token page for EAI, a block explorer and a GitHub organisation building “fully on-chain AI agents”. But it means a user in Ohio who wants to argue about a charge is contractually looking at Singapore, and there is no single legal name to argue with.

What Eternal AI collects, keeps and trains on

The web policy lists account details (email, Google or X login), messages and prompts, profile information used to personalise matches, and photos you upload as inputs to AI features, all of which are “processed by our AI models”. It states plainly that no biometric identifiers or face data are collected, which matters on a platform that lets you upload a photo for character creation. The iOS policy, which the App Store listing links to and which “applies only to the Eternal application distributed through Apple’s App Store”, is blunter: conversation content is transmitted to Eternal AI’s systems and supporting infrastructure, history may be retained and fed back for continuity, and “the iOS application does not currently provide a separate control for opting conversation content out of model-improvement or training uses. This policy does not promise that submitted content is never used for those purposes.” It also lists a user or wallet identifier among the account data, and names Google Firebase, Airbridge and Expo as providers for analytics, attribution and telemetry. Retention on both policies is the usual “as long as reasonably necessary” with no number attached. Material changes to the web policy are promised with 30 days’ notice, which is better than most.

Deletion, encryption claims and the gaps

Deleting an Eternal AI account is a button in the profile, with a warning that all associated data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. The iOS policy adds the caveats you should expect: deleting the account does not cancel an Apple subscription, and clearing a conversation “may not include every server log, safety record, hosted media file, derived context, or backup copy”. Fair enough. The gap that bothers me is the encryption story. The web FAQ says Eternal AI “uses end-to-end encryption to keep all conversations safe and confidential” and that “the server processes your requests without ever reading them”. A server cannot generate a reply to a message it cannot read, and the iOS policy confirms the content is transmitted, retained and potentially trained on. The web privacy page also claims that original images and uploads “are stored exclusively on the user’s local device” under RSA encryption and “never transmitted to or stored on our servers”, two paragraphs before explaining that uploaded photos are sent to the AI models. I treat both claims as marketing that leaked into a legal document. Eternal AI Diamonds, character plans and what each action costs

Eternal AI’s real pricing model is a virtual currency with four things to spend it on, not a credit pack with one thing to spend it on, and understanding that difference is the whole review. Independent write-ups in 2026 present it as the refreshing alternative to subscriptions: buy 60 Diamonds for $0.99, spend them when you want, stop when you do not. That is true as far as it goes. What those write-ups do not show is what the checkout inside Eternal AI shows: Diamonds fund single photo and video reveals, gifts, “premium chats and Plays”, and per-character subscriptions with weekly or monthly billing. The subscription model did not go away. It got denominated in Diamonds.

How the Diamond top-up works

The public Diamond prices reported across 2026 reviews are $0.99 for 60, $9.99 for 400, $49.99 for 2,500 and $199.99 for 12,000, with the larger packs advertised as 25% and 50% bonus. Eternal AI’s own top-up window only renders after login, but its code exposes the arithmetic: 40 Diamonds per dollar, plus 500 bonus Diamonds at the $49.99 tier and 4,000 at $199.99, with a “new user special” percentage badge on the entry pack. That matches the reported numbers exactly, so I am comfortable printing them, with the caveat in the pricing note. Payment is by card through a processor called UpGate, by Alipay or WeChat Pay, or by cryptocurrency through a connected wallet or a deposit address, including the platform’s own EAI token. Diamonds are credited after the payment confirms; the refund policy says crypto exchange rates are fixed at transaction time and network fees are your problem. Google Play lists in-app items from $0.99 to $499.99; the App Store lists a Starter Pack at $1.39, Spark at $2.49 and $9.99, and Flame at $12.49, without saying how many Diamonds each contains. The site’s own daily-reward screens nudge you to “top up faster in the mobile app”, which also doubles the daily check-in.

Sweet Start, Closer and Deep Connection

Every companion on Eternal AI has three plans attached: Sweet Start, Closer and Deep Connection, billed weekly or monthly, with a “Save 25%” badge on monthly. The plan card promises unlimited text messages with that character, voice messages, the ability to send your own photos, and a quota of photos and videos “she shares” per week or month that rises with the tier. When a companion offers a private photo or video and you are not on a plan, the app offers to “reveal only this photo” for a Diamond price, or to subscribe; if your balance is short it tells you exactly how many more Diamonds you need for that plan name. Gifts are a separate Diamond sink with Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary tiers and “possible rewards” attached, which is a mechanic borrowed straight from mobile games, and I say that as someone who spent six years testing them. Your first companion comes with a free premium week: unlimited text plus up to ten photos or two videos. After that, the meters start. I could not confirm the USD price of any of the three plans on a public Eternal AI page; the one review that prints them quotes 1,450 and 5,700 rupees a week for Closer and Deep Connection on an Indian storefront, which converts to serious money by any standard. Chat also has a rate limiter that pauses a companion with lines like “Whoa, too fast!” and a resume time, so even unlimited text is not unlimited per minute. Refunds, disputes and the small print

Eternal AI’s pricing and refund policy is the strictest I have read this year. “All payments are non-refundable” covers Diamonds, subscriptions and one-time purchases, and explicitly includes “payments made in error due to user negligence”. Refunds may be issued “in exceptional circumstances” at the company’s sole discretion, and such decisions “do not establish precedent”. If you think a charge is wrong you have 30 days to say so in writing, with the date, the amount and an explanation, or the charge is deemed accepted. Free Diamonds from check-ins and promotions have no cash value. The terms add that character subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled, that cancellation on the web happens in the character’s subscription panel and on mobile through the App Store or Google Play, and that a terminated account forfeits its Diamonds. For iOS purchases Apple’s refund rules apply instead, which in practice is the friendlier route. My advice is the same as on every no-refund platform: pay monthly not weekly only if you are sure, never keep a large Diamond balance, and buy through the app store if you might want the money back.

Eternal AI images, video, voice and Plays

Eternal AI treats media as things a companion chooses to share, unlocked with Diamonds or included in her plan, rather than as a generator you drive with prompts, and that design decision explains both the charm and the cost. Photos arrive inside the chat as “private moments” the character describes and then offers; videos work the same way; both use the character’s fixed face so the results stay consistent across a session. There is no separate gallery to prompt in for companions, although the same company sells an uncensored image and video API with its own credit system, and the Imagine feature builds a new character’s look from choices like ethnicity, eye colour, hairstyle and body type.

Photos and videos on Eternal AI

Photo quality is realistic rather than anime, which fits the dating-app framing, and independent testers confirm the face holds across generations. Video is the surprise: short clips that are genuinely animated, with the same face as the photos, on a platform that costs less to enter than most. The cost per reveal is shown only at the moment you spend; one June 2026 review put it at 10 credits a photo and 50 a video, numbers I cannot confirm on an official page and which may have changed with the Diamond rebrand. The free path is thinner than the marketing suggests: the first free photo unlocks in the mobile app, further free unlocks come from sharing a referral link (one a day, three in total), and the free premium week covers ten photos or two videos with one companion. Uploads are policed: the content policy and community guidelines forbid uploading images of identifiable real people for any AI generation, editing or character creation, and the disclaimer says anything sexualising minors is technically blocked and reported to NCMEC. Third-party reviews say the platform runs on open-source models such as DeepSeek, Llama and FLUX; Eternal AI’s own pages do not name a model, so treat that as reported, not confirmed. Voice, hardware and the Plays

Voice on Eternal AI means voice messages, listed as a benefit of the character plans, plus voice recording for subscribers on supported characters “from tier 2 and above” according to the iOS version notes. There is no real-time call inside the app; the company instead announces a hardware product called Her Home, a voice device that needs a voice-enabled subscription and promises face-to-face conversation with a companion that can see the room. I have not tested it and would not buy first-generation companion hardware from a company with three addresses. Plays are the more interesting addition: creator-made interactive stories with chapters, goals and a fixed host character, browsed in a ranked feed and played with Diamonds. Play Studio lets eligible creators write a Play by hand, generate one from a premise, or import a Character Card JSON, and pays creators 20% of subscription revenue attributed to their Plays in cash. Creators can even sponsor free messages for players at a stated 0.08 Diamonds per message, which is the closest thing to a published per-message cost anywhere on the site. Eternal AI memory, matchmaking and community

Eternal AI remembers a conversation well and a relationship unevenly, matches you better than any library browser I have used, and has a support and community footprint that is thinner than its store presence suggests. Those three facts decide who this app suits.

Lucy, the matchmaker the reviews call Cupid

The footer calls the feature “Match Your AI Companion with Lucy” and the sidebar says “Let Lucy find your girl”; third-party reviews call the same thing the Cupid AI Matchmaker, so if you have read about Cupid, this is it. The quiz asks who you want to meet first, what age you prefer, what look, what vibe, how spicy and what dynamic, then Lucy introduces one companion and a queue of others who “want to talk to you”. The site’s own copy leans on this: “Meet Your Uncensored AI Girlfriend”, “The closer you get, the more she reveals”, “An intimate connection that grows over time”. It is a dating-app frame, complete with swipeable profiles, a Him and Her split, and companions who message first. The cost of that frame is a smaller cast than a community library: you match from Eternal AI’s roster, and if the roster does not have your type, the Imagine creator is the fallback. For people leaving Character.AI for the filter, it works; for people leaving for the ten-thousand-bot library, SpicyChat is the better landing.

Memory and relationship status on Eternal AI

The Google Play description promises that “your character remembers previous conversations, adapts to your personality, and develops with every message”, and the App Store copy says long-term memory holds “favorite topics, interests, and ongoing stories”. In a single session that is accurate: companions loop back to a request you made earlier, pick up an offhand detail, and hold their pacing when you push. Across a week it is patchier. There is a relationship progression with named stages up to soulmate, and the most helpful App Store review notes that after stepping away for a while “the relationship status took steps back”, even at soulmate. Characters occasionally drop out of role. The sharpest Google Play complaint describes a companion whose “morality/behaviour” changed “over night at what feels random”, which matches my experience of a character’s tone shifting between sessions in ways I could not trace. There is no notes or memory panel to pin facts, so the fix Nastia AI offers is unavailable here. If persistent memory is the point, Kalon AI and Kindroid are the honest recommendation and Eternal AI is the app you visit.

Support, store reviews and the crypto question

Support is an email address, support@eternalai.org, plus an official Discord and an X account, both of which the app rewards you with Diamonds for joining. There is no help centre, and the FAQ on the site is marketing. The store record is mixed: Google Play shows 3.1 stars across 202 reviews with a Mature 17+ rating and 10K+ downloads, updated on September 21, 2026; the App Store shows 4.0 stars across 81 ratings, an 18+ rating, and a version history that runs from 1.1.6 in January to 3.3.11 this month, with a June release adding Chinese, French, Korean and Spanish. The praise is consistent (realistic chat, multi-bubble texts, characters with their own vibe, frequent updates, chat modes that “feel like different games”); so are the complaints: daily rewards claimable only in the app, bonus Diamonds for social tasks that “rarely work”, the overnight personality changes, and the general sense that the reward machinery is more polished than the product. Trustpilot has no reviews at all. The Product Hunt page lists a 2024 launch. Then there is the token. EAI is sold on the site, accepted at checkout, and referenced by a wallet identifier in the iOS privacy policy; the GitHub organisation describes an on-chain agent protocol with governance by token holders. You can use Eternal AI without touching any of that, and I did. But you should know that the company’s other business is a crypto project, because it explains the payment rails, the Singapore arbitration and the Estonian entity, and because it means the companion app is not the only thing the company needs to keep alive.
