The feed and Fan Club model: how Swipey AI is different

Swipey AI is a creator platform with an AI chat bolted on, not a chat app with a feed bolted on, and that order explains most of its decisions. The home page is the Explorer feed: full-screen reels, generated stills and character cards, one per swipe, drawn from three sources. Platform Models are characters Swipey AI makes itself. Verified Creator Models are real adult creators who have passed identity verification, carry a blue V badge, and are represented in chat by an AI persona the help centre says is “trained to chat the way you do”. Custom AI is the character you build yourself, and it never appears in anyone’s feed.

Three companion types, three paywalls

Each type has its own unlock, and this is the part the marketing blurs. Platform Models chat free for a few messages, then need Premium for uncensored images, voice and relationship progression. Custom AI needs Premium to chat at all: you can build her for free, you just cannot talk to her. Verified Creator Models need a Fan Club, which is a separate real-money subscription at a price the creator sets; Premium includes one Fan Club membership, and any further creator is an extra bill. The help centre’s own article on why a relationship bar is stuck lists “check your subscription” as reason one, and it means the right subscription for that companion type.

What a Fan Club actually contains

From the creator-side help articles, which are unusually frank because they are selling the platform to creators, a Fan Club member gets the creator’s exclusive photo and video sets, unlimited chat with the AI persona, and relationship levels with that persona. On top of that, the creator can lock pay-to-view media in chat “at any price you choose”, accept tips in Hearts, and price extra content unlocks in Hearts. The persona “sends PPV media at natural moments in the conversation”, in the help centre’s words, “so unlocks happen even while you are offline”. That sentence is the business model. The AI is not there to be your companion; it is there to be a salesperson who never sleeps, and Swipey AI is upfront about it if you read the creator pages rather than the user pages.

Where the feed falls down: after a week it starts repeating: the same platform characters surface in new clips, filtering is minimal, and there is no search worth the name. If you know what you want, you scroll until you find it or you build it. Group chats are “in development” with no date. The Play With Me section, where selected Platform Models perform actions over a continuous full-screen video, is the feed’s logical endpoint: some actions are free, some cost Hearts, and “the hottest ones unlock as your relationship level with her grows or with Premium”. One affiliate reviewer also reported that some “Live” profiles redirected to third-party webcam sites; I could not reproduce that, but it fits the platform’s creator-network DNA and it is worth knowing before you click.

The Swipey AI Hearts economy in detail

Hearts are the second currency on Swipey AI, and the one that sets your real monthly cost. The Terms call the in-app units “tokens”; the product calls them Hearts. Either way they are non-refundable, they do not expire while your account exists, and they vanish if you delete your account, so the help centre tells you to spend down before you leave.

What Hearts buy, and what they cost as far as anyone can tell

The official list, repeated across a dozen help-centre articles, is: voice calls billed per minute; “Show More” video extensions priced per step, with “Full Show” jumping to the whole scene at a discount and requiring Premium; live actions in Play With Me; unlocking creator photos and videos; and tipping creators, who may send a reward video back. The pricing page adds “extra generations” and “custom content requests”. What Swipey AI does not publish, anywhere I could find, is a single Hearts price. The per-minute call rate is “shown once before your first call”. Video step prices appear under each video as you go. Pack sizes are “several sizes are available”.

Third-party pages fill the gap, and they contradict each other. One quotes a 50-Heart pack at $9.99; two others quote the same pack at $14.99, “discounted” from $29.99; all agree the biggest pack is 2,760 Hearts for $209.99. One reviewer who paid lists 2 Hearts per message for certain interactions, 10 for a scene photo, 15 for a new character and 40 to 80 Hearts for ten seconds of video depending on the video tier. I cannot confirm any of those numbers on an official page, so I am reporting them as user reports, not facts. What I can confirm is the structure: the features on the Premium feature list that people actually want, calls and video, are the ones metered in Hearts, and Premium’s contribution is “free daily Hearts” of an unstated amount plus bonuses for “achievements and milestones”.

How you earn Hearts without paying

Swipey AI does hand out Hearts. Daily Rewards pay for logging in, with a streak that grows the payout. Quests pay for following the brand’s social accounts and for “trying features around the app”. Refer-a-Friend pays both parties when someone signs up through your link. In the help centre’s words, “together they can cover a lot of what you’d otherwise buy”. In my use the daily amounts were small change against a per-minute voice call, and the affiliate reviewers who tracked it put daily streak rewards in the single digits or low teens. Treat free Hearts as a reason to open the site every day, which is what they are for, not as a way to fund voice calls.

The gamification layer

Every chat has a bar with ten relationship levels running from Stranger to Soulmate, with one level name I will not print on this site. Three “meaningful” replies add one point; one-word filler is “silently ignored”. Voice calls add a point every three seconds, which the help centre calls “faster bonding than anything else” and I call a per-minute upsell. Each level-up gives a gift video revealed by a card-opening animation across three intensities (Teasing, Intimate, Full Show) and three rarities (Common, Rare, Legendary), with “better odds of longer, more explicit gifts” at higher levels. Kinks on a Custom AI unlock in tiers as the level rises, or will: the article says the feature is “releasing soon”. If your Premium lapses, levels are kept, progression pauses, and a Custom AI chat locks after seven days until you pay again. None of this is hidden. It is just a loot-box loop wearing a relationship’s clothes, and you should know that going in.

Images, video and consistency

Image generation is the strongest technical feature on Swipey AI and the one that best earns the “character-consistent” claim. There are two entry points: ask for a photo in chat in plain language, or open the standalone Generator at swipey.ai/generate, pick a model, describe the pose, outfit and setting, and generate. Realistic and anime styles are both available. Uncensored generation needs Premium; without it the Generator applies content limits.

What consistency means here

In chat, a companion’s photos keep her face, hair, build and general aesthetic from shot to shot, and a scene photo generated from context, a beach, a kitchen, an outfit you mentioned, keeps her recognisable. Change a Custom AI’s hair colour in the editor and her subsequent photos match the new look, which is the clearest test of whether the model is actually anchored to a character rather than a prompt, and Swipey AI passes it. Where it wobbles is in hands, backgrounds and anything with text, which is standard for the category, and in the occasional generation that fails outright, a complaint that appears on Trustpilot as well.

Video and voice: short, stepped and metered

Video on Swipey AI comes in four forms. Welcome media, which the platform calls Undress Me, greets you with clips when you open a chat. Video scenes start from a “show me…” message and extend in steps of 5, 10, 20, 30 and 60 seconds, each step costing Hearts, with Full Show buying the whole scene at a discount for Premium members. Make Me Move animates a photo the companion already sent, keeping pose and setting. Level-up gifts are the card-reveal videos of roughly 10, 20 or 30 seconds. Newer videos have sound with lip-sync; older ones in your gallery may be silent, and the help centre says audio is still rolling out. The 60-second ceiling on the pricing page is real but you reach it by paying five times, and one reviewer who bought the Hearts put ten seconds of the higher video tier at between five and sixteen dollars depending on pack size. That figure is unconfirmed; the mechanism is not.

Voice calls run in real time in the voice you chose, with every companion type once you have Premium, and you can ask for photos or video mid-call. Afterwards a Call Memory card saves the duration, a full transcript and the media. The transcript is useful, and it is also worth remembering that it exists when you read the retention clause below. Voice messages in chat are included with Premium; calls are per minute in Hearts. Users on Trustpilot report call quality dropping on longer calls; I saw the same on one occasion, which is not evidence of anything except that it happens.

Privacy: what Swipey AI keeps

The operator is INVAI LTD, registration HE 458964, Strovolou 140, Strovolos, Nicosia, Cyprus, which puts it under EU data protection law. The Terms in force are version 3.0, dated August 1, 2026. Support is hello@swipey.ai; the data controller contact is an invai.tech address. The domain was registered on December 19, 2024 with WHOIS privacy, and the site is fronted by Cloudflare in the United States. So: a real company you can name, less than two years old, in a jurisdiction with real rules.

Collection and retention

The Privacy Policy lists name, date of birth, usage data, browser data, IP address, cookies, location data and “conversation histories with AI companions”. It uses Google Analytics and targeting cookies. The retention clause is the one to read twice: personal information is kept “for as long as your account is in existence” and then for approximately six years after closure, a period that “may change based on business requirements”. The policy does not say whether conversations are used to train models; it says moderation happens. The help centre says data is encrypted in transit and at rest and is “never sold”, and that memories are private per chat. Those are marketing-page assurances, not policy clauses, and I grade on the policy.

Deletion and discretion

The good news is real. Delete Profile lives under Settings and the help centre says it removes profile, chats, media, Custom AIs and memories; the Privacy Policy separately promises a response to erasure requests within one month. Sign-up needs only an email address. There is no public profile, no follower list and no social layer that could expose you. Card statements show a neutral merchant name, which the help centre warns may make you not recognise your own charge later, and asks you to email support before disputing it with your bank. Payment methods listed on the pricing page are Visa, Mastercard and crypto in BTC, ETH, USDC and LTC.

The billing complaints, and the reviews you will find elsewhere

This is where the independent signal is worst. Trustpilot shows 35 reviews at 3.4 out of 5 with 31 percent one-star, and the recurring one-star theme is money: charges continuing after a cancellation, a charge the reviewer did not recognise, unlock and Hearts prices considered excessive, and generation failures with no refund. Swipey AI replies to roughly a third of negative reviews, usually within two weeks, asking the reviewer to email. The Terms say every purchase is final; the help centre says a human reviews each refund request. I take that to mean: cancel from Settings, screenshot the confirmation, and expect to argue if something goes wrong. Swipey AI pays affiliates 40 percent lifetime revenue share or up to $50 per paying sign-up, paid weekly on Fridays by card, PayPal or crypto, per swipey.partners. That is a generous programme by category standards and it explains the volume of enthusiastic coverage. Separately, the company runs its own network of review sites: airomancereport.com ranks Swipey AI first at 9.6 out of 10 and states in its footer that it is “owned and operated by the team behind Swipey AI” as part of a “Companion Review Collective” of nine related sites.
